The transaction had significant complexities which restricted the number of potential competitors. The firm leveraged its mergers and acquisitions expertise to manage all structuring and obtain attractive financing.
The business plan prioritized the stabilization and divestment of the office and residential properties to enhance the marketability of the core retail asset.
After achieving full occupancy and resolving historical compliance issues, these two properties were successfully sold. The final exit involved a phased closing and bridge financing arrangement prior to a direct sale (no broker) of the flagship retail property to a buyer identified through the firm’s network, resulting in outsized returns for the firm.
