Scott M. Kelley
Founder & CEO
Mr. Kelley is the founder and CEO of Aetos Capital Real Estate, LP (“ACRE”) and Aetos Japan (“AJ”). Mr. Kelley has led all the ACRE funds and its separate account investments. He has been responsible for making more than 50 investments in Japan, China, and Korea totaling more than $10 billion in asset value.
ACRE has sponsored four Opportunity Funds and numerous separate accounts focused on Asia with over $3.6 billion of total equity commitments. ACRE’s investor base is broad, global and largely institutional including large domestic public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations, family offices, high net worth individuals and Japanese domestic financial institutions. The ACRE investment program has been highly successful, particularly in Japan which has accounted for over 80% of investment volume.
In addition, Mr. Kelley is an advisor to PTM Partners a development firm focused on Qualified Opportunity Zones (“QOZ”) in the eastern United States and especially Florida. PTM Partners has two existing funds and over $2.0 billion of projects completed or under construction. Investment returns on all its developments have exceeded underwriting.
Mr. Kelley is a founder and Managing Member of Wavertree Property Partners. Wavertree is a fully integrated real estate investment and operating company focused on distressed investing in the United States, particularly in markets in the Southeast.
Mr. Kelley’s real estate related memberships have included the Real Estate Roundtable, Pension Real Estate Association, Urban Land Institute and The Executive Committee of Greenprint Foundation, and the National Multi-Family Housing Council and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Prior to launching the ACRE business in 2001, Mr. Kelley was at Morgan Stanley for 14 years where he was a Managing Director and global head of the real estate investment banking business. He led a number of the most innovative and important real estate transactions globally and was responsible for all international client matters. He was also a member of the Investment Committees for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (MSREF) I, II and III and the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Special Situations Fund.
Mr. Kelley received a Bachelor of Science from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a Masters in Management with Distinction from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Kelley is involved with many philanthropic organizations; he sits on the board of the Partnership for After School Education (PASE) in New York City. Mr. Kelley was a Founding Board member of the Greenprint Foundation (now the ULI Greenprint Center) and member of the Board and Investment Committee of the McIntire School Foundation.
Takayuki Kobayashi
Managing Director
Mr. Kobayashi is a Managing Director and the Representative Director of Aetos Japan LLC, leading acquisitions and asset management activities for the firm in Japan. Mr. Kobayashi has approximately 20 years’ experience in the Japanese property market working in asset management, brokerage, advisory and development across a wide variety of asset classes including multi-family residential, office and logistics, transacting approximately JPY66 billion.
Prior experience includes an asset manager and investor relation’s role at Mi-Casa Asset Management Inc. (currently Daiwa Real Estate Asset Management Co., Ltd.), an asset management company for the residential REIT called Japan Rental Housing Investments Inc (currently Daiwa Securities Living Investment Corporation), Corporate Sales and Brokerage Division at Mitsubishi Real Estate Services Co., Ltd., and an asset manager at GE Real Estate Corporation.
Mr. Kobayashi received Bachelor of Art in International Relations, International Cooperation & Development from Ritsumeikan University and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Enterprise Management from American University. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Japan.
Thomas Devaney
Managing Director
Mr. Devaney is a Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Aetos Japan, LLC. In his role he leads the underwriting of new acquisitions, and overall financial operations of the company. He was previously responsible for all portfolio management and investment-level reporting from the time he joined the firm in 2007, and prior to that spent two years on the finance team at Aetos Capital Real Estate, LP in New York. Prior to 2005, he spent two years in the Audit and Assurance practice at KPMG, LLP in the Investment Management and Funds sector.
Mr. Devaney received a BS in Accounting from St. John’s University in New York.
Yudai Uramichi

Mr. Uramichi covers asset management, disposition and acquisition activities at Aetos Japan. Prior to joining the firm he was engaged in asset management at CBRE Investment Management, covering all major asset types, and before that at AD Investment Co., Ltd. (now ITOCHU REIT Management Co., Ltd.) working on an asset management for Advance Residence Investment Corporation, Japan’s largest residential REIT.
Mr. Uramichi graduated from Yokohama National University, Faculty of Economics.
Mari Tamura
Vice President
Chief Compliance Officer
Ms. Tamura is responsible for all legal and compliance matters at Aetos Japan as the Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining the firm she held various positions in Japan including at CFJ GK (Citi Group) in risk management, Head of Compliance at Star Capital and Toranomon Servicing (now Hudson Japan, affiliates of Lone Star Group), and compliance-related roles at Capital Servicing (then part of Lehman). Ms.Tamura was also active as a real estate agent in California subsequent to graduating from university in the U.S., and prior to returning to Japan.
Ms. Tamura received a BA in East Asian Language and Culture from UCLA.
Keiichi Yoshiyama

Asset Management
Mr. Yoshiyama covers asset management, disposition and acquisition activities at Aetos Japan. Prior to joining the firm, he was engaged in asset management and disposition activities at a domestic firm in Japan, on behalf of both domestic and foreign institutional investors.
Previously he worked for a domestic property management company, primarily focusing on residential properties.
Mr. Yoshiyama graduated from Ritsumeikan University, Faculty of Law.
Yuta Chisaka

Mr. Chisaka covers asset management, disposition and acquisition activities at Aetos Japan. Prior to joining the firm he was engaged in asset management at Mori Building Investment Management, covering office and residential properties owned by Mori Hills REIT Investment Corporation. He previously worked at Mizuho Trust & Banking handling corporate sales brokerage activities.
Mr. Chisaka graduated from Doshisha University, Faculty of Economics.
He is a Certified Real Estate Transaction Specialist in Japan.
Hiroyoshi Saito

Mr. Saito covers acquisition, research and operational management activities at Aetos Japan.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a Deputy Manager at a condominium management company in Japan, and he brings a versatile skill set from experience in real estate-adjacent industries, especially hospitality.
Mr. Saito graduated from Rikkyo University, Faculty of Community Welfare.
