Orange was a take-private of a publicly-listed real estate company, on behalf of an Aetos-managed fund, in partnership with a 50/50 JV partner. At the time of acquisition, the company owned approximately 150 properties and operated a large-scale asset management business. Aetos seconded employees to the company and its board, refinanced the company and bought out its JV partner's interest, sponsored a J-REIT using company assets, strategically sold properties, and sold the remaining portfolio and fee business to two major domestic companies.
